The Exhausting Reality of Being a Black Lawyer - Bryan Stevenson's Truth (short clip from Katie Couric interview - Brian Stevenson on Why America Can't Move Forward)

At this discussion, each of the memebers of ILP shared what topic they were researching and thus, their most passionate topic. The meeting fostered interdisciplinary discussion between different fields, spanning from immigration to AI use, and involved connecting those topics back to the power of identity and narrative, the criminal justice system not being colorblind, the role of hope and conviction, and getting closer to those suffering injustice.
I enjoyed this discussion as it allowed me to gain insight into the progress of other fellow researchers and how they felt in relation to criminal justice and other general humanitarian issues.
