Reflections on learning about mitosis and how that simple cell process changed how I think about structure and timing in nature.

Learning about the stages of mitosis helped me appreciate just how organized life has to be—even at the smallest scale. What struck me most was the idea that every step of cell division must be perfectly timed and executed, or the entire system can fail. It made me think about systems in nature, and how often we take that precision for granted.
